Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards. Sale items can be returned — if you are a consumer in the European Union, your 14-day right of withdrawal applies to them exactly as it does to any other item (see below).

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union — your 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have 14 days to withdraw from your purchase, without giving any reason and without penalty. This right applies to every order, including items bought on sale.

Our 30-day commercial window is longer than this legal right, and it applies to you as well. The 14 days below are the minimum the law guarantees you; the 30 days above are what we grant you on top of it. Whichever is more favourable to you is the one that applies.

The 14 days run from the day you — or someone you designate — take physical possession of the goods. If your order is delivered in several parts, they run from the day you receive the last item.

How to withdraw. Tell us clearly, by any means you like: an email to contact@halloweeners-party.com is enough. You may also use our withdrawal form, which records the date and time of your request — but you are never obliged to use it. Simply sending the goods back without a word is not, on its own, a valid notice.

Sending the goods back. Return them within 14 days of telling us. Return shipping is at your expense, unless the item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered — in which case we pay, and you should contact us before sending anything.

Your refund. We refund you within 14 days of receiving your decision, using the same payment method you used to pay, at no cost to you. The refund includes the standard delivery cost you paid on the way out (if you chose a more expensive delivery option, we refund the standard rate). We may hold the refund until we have received the goods back, or until you provide proof that you have sent them — whichever happens first.

What the right does not cover. European law excludes a few categories, and two of them concern this shop:

• Sealed goods that cannot be returned for reasons of hygiene or health protection, once they have been unsealed — this covers our makeup, face and body paint, fake blood, press-on nails and any cosmetic item. Unopened and still sealed, they can be returned as normal.
• Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised.

Goods must come back in the condition you received them, with their tags and original packaging. You may handle and try an item as you would in a shop; you are only liable for a loss in value caused by handling that goes beyond that.

Nothing here limits your legal guarantee of conformity or your rights in respect of faulty goods.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know whether the refund was approved. The 14-day legal deadline described above applies in every case — it runs from the day we are informed of your decision, not from the day we approve the return. In practice we refund sooner. Your bank or card issuer may then take a few more days to post the refund; that delay is not ours.

Outside the European Union — our commercial return policy
If your order ships outside the EU or the EEA, no legal right of withdrawal applies. There is none, for instance, in the United States for online sales: United States federal law has no cooling-off period for distance selling, and the FTC Cooling-Off Rule covers only sales made at your home, your workplace or a temporary location.

We nonetheless grant you, as a commercial gesture and not as a legal obligation, the 30-day return window described at the top of this policy. The same conditions apply: the item must be unworn, unused, with its tags and original packaging, and you must request the return before sending anything back. Our form is the quickest way to ask.

Which regime applies to you is decided by the delivery address of your order — not by where you live, hold citizenship, or happen to be browsing from.
